Calming Cream Cleanser for Scalp and Body

I can vividly recall how irritated my skin became the morning after each chemotherapy treatment. I wish I had formulated this cleanser, back then.

I have always had combination skin to the slightly oily side, so I had no previous experience with Cream Cleansers.

What makes this Cleanser particularly beneficial for irritated and sensitive skin, is that it does not contain any sulfates, what so ever. The skin mantle has been sensitized by all of the toxins that are targeting fast growing cells in an effort to quell ‘the beast’ (my nickname for cancer).

So the idea is to use a non-soap product with a cream consistency that can cleanse, soothe and moisturize.

I blend purified water with Aloe and Lavender distillates for the immediate cooling and calming affect they have on inflammation. In addition, there are oat proteins which form a thin invisible film over the skin to help retain moisture while soothing and softening at the same time.

Macadamia Nut Seed Oil is added to the mix. It’s high in palmitoleic acid which promotes cell regeneration and offers increased skin elasticity and then there’s an interesting ingredient called: Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate. It is closely related to the biological fats of the skin. It gives a soft, supple feel to the skin. It is also an excellent film-forming agent and it gives a natural sheen to the hair. (so if you’re post chemo, and are experiencing scalp sensitivities as I did when my hair started growing again, this will also soothe your scalp!)

So there you have it…a cleansing non-soap product that is gentle enough for sensitive, irritated skin and scalp.

To Use: Gently apply and work in to skin. Remove with a warm, damp washcloth.

This cleanser is unscented and suitable for any sensitive skin type, to be used from Scalp to Toe.
