Introducing: ‘Boost’

I thought it would be nice to start introducing you to each piece of ‘Skin in Treatment’.
There was no doubt in my mind that the first would have to be ‘Boost’!

Boost - Skin in Treatment

Boost – Skin in Treatment

I have a deep connection to this cream:
It’s the first product I custom formulated to deal with my own cranky skin issues from Chemotherapy. I used it all over my entire body. Yes, my bare scalp included. Especially my bare scalp!  One of the side effects of Chemotherapy is severe skin dryness and sensitivity.  It’s the basis for ‘Skin in Treatment’.  It’s also why each product has a role to play in giving your skin comfort. You’ll notice that ‘Boost’ is a thick, rich cream. Creams, by nature are formulated to treat specific areas: hands, elbows, knees, feet. I the case of Chemotherapy treatment relief, your entire body might be so dry, that ‘Boost’ will be used all over to seal in precious moisture.

Boost is a nourishing botanical blend that will immediately Soothe, and with use – Restore and Moisturize sensitive, damaged and/or dry skin from the onslaught of treatment. The ‘hero’ ingredient in this formula is Murumuru Seed Butter – a nut that comes from a type of Amazonian Palm Tree.

Murumuru butter is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids. The main fatty acid found in this butter is called Lauric acid, known to be highly anti-microbial. This is a good thing, when you factor in a compromised immune system.
The combination of Murumuru butter’s nutrients, also make it easily absorbed into the deep layers of skin, helping to restore elasticity and suppleness.
To top it off, this natural emollient is anti-allergenic, anti bacterial, anti inflammatory and considered anti viral. It is a potent source of antioxidants and can be used as a mild antiseptic. It aids in the healing of mild abrasions, it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and is known to help moisturize some cases of psoriasis and excema. All this, from one ingredient. I know!?! Now you know why I call it a ‘hero’ ingredient!
I blend the Murumuru Seed Butter with soothing Calendula-infused Olive Oil, restorative Shea Butter and anti-oxidant rich Jojoba Oil. All skin loving naturals in their own right.

Since Sensitive skin and Chemotherapy smell issues are often further aggravated by fragrance, ‘Boost’, like many of my formulas, is unscented and simply blended to protect and hydrate the most sensitive skin areas with immediate relief.

I want to mention that it’s important during the months you undergo treatment, to consider taking a shower/bath in slightly cooler water. Hot water robs your skin of precious moisture which you need for your skin’s own water/moisture level. Towel off softly, leaving your skin slightly damp and moisturize thoroughly from head to toe. This method will help trap moisture on your skin which it so desperately needs.

Here’s what one user had to say:
Dry, cracked, itchy skin gone in seconds and lasts all day! Perfect non-greasy formula, soothes and keeps skin supple. Love this product!!

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about ‘Boost’.  I am happy to offer it to you in your defense against treatment ravaged skin.
