There was a fascinating report released a few weeks ago, about an adjuvant therapy for Breast Cancer treatment.
One of the most commonly prescribed drugs for women whose cancer tests positive for estrogen receptors, Tamoxifen, is not without it’s share of negative side-effects.
This article heralds the development of Tamoxifen, in gel form as opposed to pill form. It’s easy to understand how localized treatment would be so much better than swallowing a pill that has no choice but to travel through one’s entire system. I think this is great news that has the potential for application with other diseases.
